Here's a powerful, ancient sacramental of the Church to illuminate the Faith in today's Catholic hearts and homes: The St. Benedict Medal with its potent prayers of protection and trust in Christ.

Our St. Benedict Medal Prayer Pillowcase features the back side of the Jubilee St. Benedict Medal, defined by the cross and a series of initials. The cross symbolizes holy St. Benedict’s own devotion to The Cross of Christ; it prompts us to embrace The Cross too, and reminds us of Satan’s great fear of The Cross. The initials, originally meant to be memorized by the faithful, are the first letters of words that, when prayed with sincere faith, are so powerful against the wickedness and snares of Satan that they're used for exorcism.

At first glimpse the St. Benedict Medal is a striking piece, right?
And then, once one knows what the initials stand for, it becomes breathtaking! That’s why we encircled the image with the translated prayers in Latin and English: to help Catholics contemplate, profess and be blessed by these beautiful, powerful words of faith.

The powerful symbolism of the St. Benedict Medal revealed:
The Initials of the St. Benedict Medal:
• On the cross's four sides C.S.P.B– “Crux Sancti Patris Benedicti” (Cross of the Holy Father Benedict.)
• In the vertical line of the cross C.S.S.M.L. - “Crux Sacra Sit Mihi Lux (The Holy Cross be my light)
• In the horizontal line express N.D.S.M.D. – “Non Draco Sit Mihi Dux” (Let not the dragon be my guide)

Around the border, starting from the top right and going clockwise, are the initials of the exorcism prayer: V.R.S. “Vade Retro Satana” (Step back, Satan) N.S.M.V. “Non Suade Mihi Vana” (Do not suggest to me thy vanities) S.M.Q.L. “Sunt Mala Quae Liba”): (Evil are the things thou profferest) I.V.B." “Ipse Venena Bibas”: (Drink thou thy own poison) The prayer concludes with "PAX" (Peace) which isn’t included in the print but is added with personalization.
